Updated 29 October 2026. This guide reviews an official scholarship opportunity and explains important steps for prospective applicants from Kenya. The university is the final authority on selection and funding.
What is available?
The University of Wisconsin–Madison describes its King-Morgridge Scholars Program as supporting incoming first-year undergraduate students with substantial financial need and a commitment to reducing poverty and serving communities.
Applicants must first apply for university admission through fall Early Action by 1 November 2026, and complete the separate King-Morgridge scholarship application through the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub by 15 November 2026.
Applicants should check the university’s official list of eligible countries. The programme does not accept transfer applicants, graduate applicants or people who have already completed a postsecondary degree.
The scholarship form includes short responses and a 500–700 word essay. Admission and scholarship are separate processes, and only applicants admitted during Early Action review can receive this scholarship.
What Kenyan applicants should know
For a Kenyan school-leaver, verify country eligibility, prepare academic records and submit the university application before the 1 November deadline. Applying only for the scholarship without an undergraduate admission application will not satisfy the process.
How to check and apply
Read the university’s official scholarship notice and application instructions. Check the programme’s admissions requirements, confirm the current deadline in the institution’s time zone, prepare your documents and apply directly via the university’s designated portal. Scholarship selection is not guaranteed; JobScholarship.com is not the awarding institution.
Before paying or sharing documents
Use the official university domain and verify any fees through the university itself. Do not pay an intermediary claiming to guarantee admission, scholarships or a visa. Compare the scholarship award against tuition and living expenses because coverage differs by award.
